Most vehicles can access but road is dirt and a high clearance vehicle is recommended. Less than 1/2 mile from pavement. Head up the hill to nearby forest service roads that allow off road vehicles. There are also dirt roads that go through Holcomb Valley and Fawnskin from this side of the mountains. Drive to Big Bear in about 30 minutes (the back way) up Highway 18. Get away and still be close to shopping and restaurants in the friendly small town of Lucerne Valley.
